While Hemp and Marijuana are both Cannabis Plants, they are 2 completely different species. The main difference between the two is that Hemp has less than 0.3% THC (the cannabinoid that gets you “high”). Therefore, it does not have the psychoactive effect that Marijuana has.

Hemp can be used for making herbal supplements, food, fibre, rope, paper, bricks, oil, natural plastic, and much more, whereas marijuana is usually just used recreationally and medicinally.

Hemp Extract Oil is 100% legal for sale and use in many countries as it contains less than 0.3% THC and is manufactured from Industrial Hemp.

In the United States and many other countries, it is sold for human consumption. However, in Australia it can only be sold for external applications and not for human consumption. It is to be used in accordance with Australian Hemp regulations.

In the USA the legal definition of “industrial hemp,” per Section 7606 of the Agricultural Appropriations Act of 2014, is “INDUSTRIAL HEMP — The term ‘‘industrial hemp’’ means the plant Cannabis sativa L. and any part of such plant, whether growing or not, with a delta-9 tetrahydrocannabinol concentration of not more than 0.3 percent on a dry weight basis.”
